Bayside Sports has delivered best-in-class sports events & run professional sports academies since 2013. 10 years ago, we pioneered The Bayside Sports School Dads Cricket Championship, a tournament which revolutionized the way amateur sport is played in the country. We realised very early on in our company’s history that several amateurs had sacrificed sports for careers or family life, and there was no single organization that could help bring them back to the sports they loved as children. We also realised that sporty parents are significantly more likely to influence their children to take up a sport. And so Bayside Sports bridged solved these 2 problems and bridged these gaps by creating some of the most fun yet competitive sports events for amateurs.

Meet Our Director
Kyan Bharucha is living his dream by doing what he loves most of all – Sports. His is a story of what’s possible when you pursue your goals and don’t see setbacks as failures.
Although born and raised in Mumbai, he has spent a large majority of his early adult life overseas and this has shaped much of his understanding of the world and laid the foundation for entrepreneurship.
With a BSc in Microbiology, he then went on to get an MBA in International Business and a MA in Foreign Relations both from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California (USA). In 2008 Kyan joined Cadbury (India), where he went on to become the Head of Business Efficiency & Strategy (Middle East & Africa). He spent the best part of 5 years working in Switzerland, South Africa, Egypt, Swaziland, the US and the UK before heading back home to India.
In his heart, he always desired to be an entrepreneur and in January 2013, Kyan founded Bayside Sports. Bayside is a company that has pioneered in bringing individuals and communities back to sports they love to play. The company runs Sports properties such as the Bayside Sports School Dads Cricket Championship, the Bayside Sports School Mums Throwball Championship and many more. In 2018 Bayside partnered with Sachin Tendulkar on the Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy and in the same year, Mr. Anand Mahindra, Chairman & MD of the Mahindra & Mahindra group, invested in the company to become a major shareholder and active board member of the company. Besides Sports IPs, Bayside also runs three Sports Academies, one each for football and cricket and the third is called Aastha Sports, a Sports academy for children with special needs, which fits with Bayside’s mission – ensuring that every person, regardless of age, gender or ability, has a sport to play!

Meet Our Biggest Fan
Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, is a Board seat holder and an investor in Bayside Sports. He is passionate about Bayside’s mission of bringing Indian families back to Sport and is an active voice in the strategic growth of the company.
Mr. Mahindra has been a vocal advocate on the importance of amateur sports in India. He has long believed that sports can be a powerful force for social and personal development and has been keenly involved in promoting sports in various ways. He is also of the firm belief that Sports unifies India like nothing else.
Mr. Mahindra passionately supports the growth of sports for women in the country. He has often spoken about the need to create a culture of sports for every person in India irrespective of gender and ability. Aastha Sports, Bayside’s mission to ensure that differently abled children are given an opportunity to play Sport, is very close to Mr. Mahindra’s heart.
